CoinWise ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard information when you use our mobile application.
Device Identifier and Abuse Prevention: We generate an anonymous UUID for your device to manage scan quotas and app functionality. We may also store short-lived hashed network identifiers to prevent abuse of AI-powered scanning. These identifiers are not linked to your personal identity.
Coin Images: Photos you take within the app are sent to our secure server for AI analysis. Images are processed in real time and are not stored on our servers after analysis is complete.
Usage Analytics: We collect anonymized usage data (such as features accessed and session duration) via Mixpanel to improve the app experience. No personally identifiable information is included.
Subscription Information: If you subscribe to CoinWise Pro, your purchase is processed entirely through Apple's App Store. We do not have access to your payment information.
We use collected information to: provide AI-powered coin analysis; manage your scan quota; prevent automated abuse; improve app performance and features; and comply with legal obligations.
Coin images are analyzed using AI services (including Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini, and OpenAI) via our secure server-side proxy at api.getcoinwise.app. Your images and data are never sent directly to these providers from your device. All AI calls are routed through our own infrastructure.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your data with third parties except as necessary to operate the service (e.g., AI analysis providers under strict data processing agreements) or as required by law.
Coin images are not retained after analysis. Anonymous usage analytics are retained for up to 24 months. Device identifiers are retained while your app is installed.
You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us at aaronjasonall@gmail.com. Since we do not collect personal identity information, deletion requests will remove any analytics data associated with your anonymous device ID.
CoinWise is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
We use industry-standard encryption (TLS) for all data transmission. API keys and sensitive credentials are stored exclusively on our server infrastructure and are never embedded in the app.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date above.
